Granma strengthens measures to combat Covid-19

The tasks related to the fulfillment of the economic order in Granma and the confrontation with the Covid-19 epidemic, were addressed in the Temporary Working group of the People’s Power in its meeting on Tuesday.

At the meeting, the First Secretary of the Party in the province, Federico Hernández, pointed out that the measures adopted by the Temporary Group are aimed at strengthening the protocols to confront the Covid.

On this, the creation of capacities that allow isolation for contacts, in their own territories of residence, for travelers arriving from abroad, both in Bayamo and Manzanillo and for medical personnel leaving the red area was assesed.

In this regard, the highest political authorities of Granma pointed out the need for the territory to certify the centers and increase the rigor of the surveys related to contacts, in order to avoid later the appearance of cases where the infection source of the disease is unknown.

Regarding the Ordering Task, Federico Hernández pointed out the need to continue paying attention to what the people say and that is collected daily in opinion nd that there is no impunity.

Hernández Hernández, stated that as essential tasks to work in Granma is that of cleaning prices, in all sectors, which is a contribution of the territory for the development of the economy.

During the meeting, the creation of working groups made up of the coordinator of the ordering task, the finance and prices department, the university and the association of economists, as well as businessmen, to review prices in all sectors, both retailers and services between entities and the review of cost sheets were assessed.

The Temporary Working Group also evaluated opinions of the people regarding the concerns of the population about the quality of bread, which is unstable and bad in many bakeries, the prices, and dissatisfaction with sales of TRD and CIMEX stores, and the sale of bulk rum and beer.
