School of El Corojito rural community in Buey Arriba restored

The inhabitants of El Corojito rural community, in Buey Arriba, celebrate the reopening of the Frank País García elementary school; a facility restored which has suffered severe deterioration.

Abel Enrique Tamayo, circumscription´s delegate, said that the families of that settlement are pleased with this new work.

¨The population always asked for a worthy school, like the one we have now, which shows once again that in Cuba the people command, because with the proposals made in several accountability processes, the idea was complied with, and we see that in the middle of the such difficult year that we have had in the midst of the Covid, shortage due to the worsening of the blockade, and global economic crisis, the Cuban government´s will has been to rebuild and improve the comfort of this small school in a rural area¨, he highlighted.

¨In other words, today the students, parents, teachers and the community in general are very happy to have this wonderful work of the Revolution¨, he noted.

Dirmo González Benítez, director of the restored primary school in El Corojito, highlights the comfort of the place that welcomes 51 students and 14 workers.

¨Before, the school was in very bad condition, it was small, now with better comfort the workers are pleased to develop the educational teaching process, which before was difficult due to the crowding that we had, today we are very satisfied¨, the director stated.

¨During the construction process, the people of the community supported us a lot, so today they also are satisfied with the restoration of our school¨, he noted.

The remodeling of the center, carried out in the midst of the health and economic complexities that the country faced this year, is a gift for the people of El Corojito, on the eve of the 62nd anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
