The assurance of the water infrastructure in Granma represents an essential support for the performance of all the missions that this sector takes on.
A steady maintenance of the different works, such as canals, networks, reservoirs enables an efficient water supply service to both the population and the state sector.
Up to now, the restorations carried out by brigades in the water sector have had a significance impact on the rice program, especially point on which Leonardo Ortega Rosales, Director of Infrastructure at the Water Resources Management in Granma stands out.
¨Such is the case of the right canal, more than eight km of channel were cleaned, which allows a better conduction of water to the entire rice pole of that area¨, he explained.
In addition, rehabilitation works was carried out on the Bayamo´s Canal, which also has a great impact on the rice industry, as well as on the solution of the network faults in the Vicana´s canal, it was repaired and today it is providing services without difficulties, he noted.
Referring to such maintenance actions also represents the possibility of improvements in the delivery of drinking water to 32 settlements in the Granma province.
An achievement that for the Hydraulic Resources´ workers in the territory ratifies that constant work is rewarded with quality in the services directed to the people.
