Clinically stable 599 people with Covid-19 in Cuba

The national director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Francisco Duran said today that of the 766 patients diagnosed with Covid-19, 599 show stable clinical evolution.

At the International Press Center in this capital, Duran reported that 2,501 people have been admitted for clinical-epidemiological surveillance for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Another 7,167 people are being monitored in their homes by the Primary Health Care system, said Duran.

Cuba today reports 40 confirmed cases of Covid-19, bringing the total number of positive cases to 766, while another 11 are returning home under home medical surveillance for another 14 days, said the expert.

The number of recovered cases reaches 132, a fact that has been repeated daily for several days, said Duran.

Of those confirmed, all are Cuban and 21 are female, and l 20 percent of confirmed patients are asymptomatic, the epidemiologist said.

No deaths have been reported today, although nine people are in critical condition and three are in serious condition, said Duran.
