Difficulties with specific resources limit part of the social provision of the opticians network in the Granma territory, explains Mildred Pérez Andreu, head of research and development of the Provincial Pharmacy and Optical Company.
Pérez Andreu, explained that as everybody knows the theme related to the reduction of imports, at the moment there are not frames to make glasses for the population. It is said that a shipment from China is coming.
On the other hand, the company has a large number of glasses and powers, contrary to what happened at other times when we did not have glasses but frames, she noted.
In which cases, the only alternative to solve this problem, it is using frames bringing by the population, so that the people who have frame and need a bifocal, they can bring it to the optician, then we evaluate if it has the technical conditions to be reassembled.
According to the information by the Ministry of Public Health the problem must be solved soon, with the arriving of a shipment from China.
