
The University of Granma held its 42rd graduation on July 12, at the Plaza de la Revolución of Bayamo, dedicated to the 66th anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes garrisons.
During the event 670 new professionals received theirs degrees in the different careers of the Higher Education Center of the territory.
The master Narcy Bueno Figueras, rector of the institution, asserted that from the practice and constant improvements, and individual growth can contribute to society in a decisive socio-economic context.
In the ceremony, 22 young people were graduated with honors, also the distinction of Best Integral Graduate in cultural, sport, scientific fields, and leadership in the FEU was granted to three young girls.
The best graduates are Geiza Ortiz Travieso, from Sociocultural Studies, Yanelis Pérez Boza from Bachelor in Physical Culture and Legna Pérez from the Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
At the end of this school year, the University of Granma graduates 670 new professionals, 444 are from the regular course, 221 from the Blended learning and five from distance education.
On the occasion, also 38 students graduate by higher education in short cycle. (Radio Bayamo Digital)
