After having reincorporated to the Education system, every morning Virginia Cabrera Ortíz, teacher of elementary school moves many kilometers to teach children of the mountain of the Bartolomé Masó municipality.

¨I retired when I had 42 years of teaching experiences and I returned 3 years ago, this is the third school years¨, Virginia said.

Currently, I am working at the schools of the Turquino Plan, I have worked in two centers, previously I work at the Tony Alomá multigrade classroom, in the Peladero zone and now I am at the school center in Providencia community, there I work with fourth grade students, she explained.

It has been a very beautiful experience because we realize how the children are taking the contents of the other grade, and vice versa. It does not matter, if they are in second so that they will practice the written procedure of those of the fourth grade, she told.

In this school I work with fourth grade. When I enter the classroom I do not feel that I am there, but I think I am in the classroom that I worked all my life. When I reincorporated, they offered me several schools but I preferred to go to that small one in the mountains, where I had a wonderful experience. Those children are very loving, natural, friendly and attached to the teacher, she noted.

I started my work at the Pablo Rios School in the town of Bartolome Maso and there I spent my all working life until I retired, she added.

More than half a century of experiences the teacher Virginia Cabrera has, who from the classroom has trained several generations of students of the mountains area in Granma province.
