Cuban outstanding researchers and guests will meet from October 17 to 29 in the Bayamo city, in the 27th edition of the ¨Crisol of Cuban Nationality¨ Theoretical Event.
Inaugurated in 1992 as a space for the spreading and defense of the history and the traditions of the Island, the event will foster debates about identity and sharing of experiences, founding fathers, contemporary humor and social satire, among other topics.
The event, which is part of the wide program of the Fiesta de la Cubanía and is one of its main space, will open with a lecture by the Doctor of Historical Sciences Rafael Acosta de Arriba, 2018 National Cultural Research Award.
Other panels and exchanges will be focused on the legacy of Father of the Motherland Carlos Manuel de Céspedes; sustainable development and social research.
Annually sponsored Hosted by the Center for Historical and Sociocultural Research of the Cuban National House, of Bayamo, the event will include, on October 4 and 16, two pre-event courses on anthropology.
As the closing of the event, in the year of the bicentenary of the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes´s birth, the opening of the exhibition of the artist Amaury Palacios Puebla, dedicated to the distinguished patriot of Bayamo is scheduled. (ACN)
