The 2nd San Salvador of Bayamo Early Music Encounter concluded on Monday night in the capital of Granma after several days of concerts, workshops and lectures.

The music in America of the 17th century a view to the past through sound, was the title of the closing concert, in which all participants joined to offer the audience great performances evidence of the incursion of that type of creation in the country.

The pieces played belong to the Baltasar Martínez´s codex, which are conserved at the viceroyalty of Peru, where were created by the Spanish colonizers to evangelize the aborigines.

Also, on Monday, the Ensemble Sultis, vocal group of students had its first performance, who received more creative development for their career as interpreters during the event.

Yunexy Arjona Cisneros, director of Exsulten, said that this 2nd  encounter showed, among other things, that this kind music has a loyal audience.

The event has achieved more organization, and the public recognizes that there is a fixed space to offer presentations on the early music,  and the hall has been full of people during the four nights, even when many cultural activities have been carry out at the same time in the city.

The event provided unique experiences and counted with the presentations of Ensemble Lauda, ​​Camerata Vocale della Corte and Ensemble Cantabile groups.
