The Rubén Bravo Álvarez Pedagogical School of Granma, has just received the 80th Anniversary Flag of the Workers’ Central Union of Cuba (CTC), the only educational institution in the province to achieve this high recognition.
According to Dalgis Rodríguez Gala, General Secretary of the Union of Education, Science and Sports Workers (SNTECD) in Granma, the best labor groups from different sectors of the economy in the country received the award, for their outstanding results and the good union working.
She noted that 80 collectives in the country received the distinction last January 27, in a ceremony held at the Hall of Lost Steps of the Cuban Capitol in Havana.
Among the collectives awarded was Maria Elena Hernandez Rodriguez, director of the Pedagogical School of Granma and the Secreatry of the CTC of this center Rigoberto, she noted.
They came back last night and the staff of the school organized an act this morning to receive this flag, she added.
The granting of the 80th anniversary flag of the CTC is part of the activities in salute to this proletarian organization founded on January 28th, 1939 and takes place in the process developed by the Union (CTC) for its 21th Congress, to be held in next April.
