In solemn ceremony held at the Protocol Hall of the Plaza de la Patria, in Bayamo, almost twenty members of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) with an exemplary work in the largest mass organization, were awarded.

The September 28 condecoration flag was also granted to the Braulio Coroneaux CDR, zone 2, of the municipality of Guisa, taking into account compliance with the main emulative indicators.

In the act, the medals for the Defense of the Homeland and the Unity of the Neighborhood, as well as the September 28th Distinction were imposed, granted by the Council of State, on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of the Committees of Defense of the Revolution.

The homage was attended by the members of the Central Committee of the Federico Hernández Party, its first secretary in Granma, and Carlos Rafael Miranda, National Coordinator of the CDR organization; as well as Manuel Santiago Sobrino, president of the Provincial Assembly of People´s  Power, among other leaders.

Also, on the previous day, Bayamo deserved the National Vanguard flag for the 50th consecutive year, and the best municipality in the work of the CDR.

Among the main achievements of the capital of Granma, the advances in the realization of revolutionary surveillance, the fulfillment of the blood donation plan, financial tasks, and the support for the construction of subsidized housing and food production, among others tasks.
