The legendary Aragón orchestra presented a program with its classic repertoire, that made the audience dance at the Bayamo theater, of the capital of Granma, as part of a national tour to celebrate its 80 anniversary.
The inevitable Guajira con tumbao, by Piloto and Vera; Pare cochero, Marcelino Guerra and Sabrosona, by Richard Egües, were among other well-known songs of the old charanga.
A special artistic moment of the presentation was the extraordinary performance of Bésame mucho, by Dagoberto González on the violin, which was crowned by a long standing ovation from the audience.
There some people danced to the rate of La chaúcha, typical danzon composed in 1934 brilliantly performed by the orchestra, with which the audience, composed mostly of middle -aged people, gave it a standing ovation.
After his performance in Bayamo, the Aragón orchestra performed on Wednesday at the Manzanillo Theater, in the City of the Gulf, then will go on with its tour to celebrate 80 years of undeniable success.
