More than 85 thousand people of Granma join the campaign to collect signatures for the freedom of the former Brazilian President, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

At the seat of the Provincial Party Committee (PCC) on Wednesday, the workers of the institution signed as demand for the release of Lula from the call presented by Carlos Borges Olivero, Member of the PCC in the center.

¨The Brazilian people and the world become highly aware that it is urgent to fight against the historical injustice of which Lula is  victim, it is widely  proven that only international solidarity and that of the Brazilian people will get him out of jail¨, Borges Olivero said.

¨The Cuban people know it for this reason, faithful to the sense of justice and internationalism that we have dedicated ourselves, the Cubans have decided to join forces again to give another battle for the truth. We will join our signatures to the international movement for the annulment of the trials against Lula¨.

The signatures of the workers of the seat of the Provincial Committee of the Party were headed by the Member of the Central Committee Federico Hernandez, First secretary of the PCC in Granma and Yanaisi Capó Nápoles first secretary of the political body in Bayamo.

In the province of Granma, the call made by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) and the Cuban Workers Confederation (CTC) already adds more than 85 thousand people of Granma who have signed for the annulment of the unjust case to Lula.(By: Marisela Presa Sagué).
