The preparation of professional frameworks, grassroot leaders and, especially, young leaders, is a priority to strengthen the work of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) in the eastern province of Granma, as it was highlighted today in Bayamo.

In this regard, delegates to the 9th Congress of the organization in the territory, talked about the importance of changing methods and work styles, with the aim of reaching each citizen, thus contributing to better functioning of the structures, at all levels.

Alezaida Rosabal Díaz, who is part of  Looking at the Sea Detachment, in the coastal municipality of Pilón, underlined the great responsibility of the joint work between the country´s largest mass organization  and the Border Guards, in the fight against drug recalls , the emigration and illegal infiltration in the Island, and other irregularities.

On behalf of the 27 members of her detachment, she ratified the commitment to continue fighting to prevent  society of the several damages caused by the dangerous scourge of international traffic in drugs.

Carlos Miranda Martínez, member of the Central Committee of the Cuba Communist Party (PCC), of the Council of State, and CDR national coordinator, urged to continue strengthening the revolutionary watch, and to stabilize the main indicators, such as the quotation and blood donations.

In the assembly, also presided over by Federico Hernández Hernández,  First Secretary of the PCC in Granma, Osnel Zamora Martínez was ratified as coordinator of the organization in the territory.

The 35 delegates were also elected to the national congress, and for their outstanding work the municipalities of Media Luna, Yara, Cauto Cristo and Bayamo received recognition.
