The second secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, José Ramón Machado Ventura, toured in the province of Granma productive areas in the municipalities of Bayamo, Jiguaní, Yara and Manzanillo.
The party leader urged the Granma´s people to work in seek of higher agricultural yields.
Food production is the high priority in the province of Granma. The highest authorities of the territory dedicate intense days to systematizing the plans and strategies related to agriculture, which means presence of products in the markets and greater satisfaction to the population.
This was confirmed by the second secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, José Ramón Machado Ventura, when visiting important productive centers in Bayamo, Jiguaní, Yara and Manzanillo.
In his habitual visits, there are some aspects always checked as the increase of the sowings, the diversity of crops, and the use of technology.
On this occasion, the objective was to encourage the people of Granma to grow in available areas, use better varieties, seek quality in plantings, and raise yields.
Machado Ventura toured the plant for the treatment and benefit of grains, which is built under the direction of the José Manuel Capote Sosa CAI rice farmer, and where everyone’s effort in the territory will allow its completion before the end of the year, although the work is planned for later.
With this plant, the province can process corn and beans from more than 30 productive units.
