Combatants, internacionalists  and historians  held a panel in tribute to Fidel, this Sunday on  the second anniversary of his death.

At the Manuel Muñoz Cedeño Provincial Museum the meeting was held aimed at remember the work and legacy of the historic leader of the Cuban Revoultion, who died on Novemeber 25th, 2016.

The panel was composed of the researcher Aldo Daniel Naranjo Tamayo, President of the Union of Cuban Historians in Granma, Captain Juan Estrada Viamonte, member of the Rebel Army; lieutenant army reserve colonel Rafael Corrales Urquiza and Orlando González, lieutenant colonel of the  Armed forces.

During the meeting those present made reference to three important chapters of the life of the Commander in Chief, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution, which will be celebrated on January 2019.

The panel reflected aspects of Fidel as a military strategist, the Fidel of the Victory Caravan and Fidel who, throughout his life, had in mind this province regarding to this he said: How to write the history of Cuba without writing the history of Granma.

With this encounter the combatants, internationalists and historians highlighted the aspects of our struggles, which especially concerns the people of Granma, since great part of them took place in the mountains of this territory.

The panel held at the Provincial Museum evidenced that the life and work of Fidel is an eternal guide for the Cubans.
