With the gala entitled Como un tesoro es la paz was opened, the night of this Wednesday in Bayamo, the 28th edition of the International Book Fair 2019.

The evening, under the direction of the playwright Fernando Muñoz Carrazana, took place at the Plaza de la Revolución, a space in which artists, guest personalities, writers, the authorities of the territory and the people in general joined to enjoy that song of peace which became the show.

Singers such as Magda Beatriz, Doris Stivens, Margarita Alarcón, Yudenia Manso, Nubes group, the Entre Cuerdas quintet, the Exulten Ensemble of Early Music, actors and dancers from the Provincial Council of Performing Arts presented a worthy tribute to literature.

Also during the evening event the work of the writer Eduardo Rafael Heras León, National Literature Prize 2014, to whom is dedicated the main event of the letters in Cuba, at the same time that the links with the Democratic and Popular Algerian Republic were enhanced.

The Carlos Manuel de Céspedes´s legacy, Father of the Nation, was also evoked in the Bicentennial of his birth and the glorious burning of the city of Bayamo, both special motivations of the Book Fair in this province.

At the opening of the literary event, the poetess and essayist Juventina Soler Palomino, Provincial Prize for Literature in 2018, highlighted the books are those spaces where the stories last forever.

The gala Como un tesoro es la paz ( as a treasure is peace) opens the way to intense days that until March 10 will bring the book presentations conferences, trade fairs, tributes, poetry reading, concerts and the action of community projects.
