Health professionals specialized in attention to the population debated in Bayamo about the main problems that this service presents in the country.

Exchanges of experiences, institutional communication and quality in responses to dissatisfactions distinguished a regional workshop on attention to the population in public health sector held in the capital of Granma province.

Specialists in the theme of the eastern provinces also presented results of work during 2018 and current difficulties.

Isnaldo Cañizares Carmenate, official of the Department of Attention to the population in the Ministry of Public Health, who led the meeting said that currently the greatest number of complaints are located in the provinces of Havana, Sancti Spiritus, Villa Clara and Granma.

In this context, it was suggested that the main dissatisfactions of the population are related to the organization and working of primary care, the emergency services in hospitals and polyclinics, and the performances of both medical personnel and technical and nurses.

Given these difficulties, Cañizares Carmenate, pointed out the need to work with absolute transparency, seeking above all better responses and which must be provided to the people through an adequate way of communication.

It was also stressed the importance of this exchange be held in facilities with a certain comfort, especially with privacy, so that the person can present their concerns and complaints without fear.
