
The idiosyncrasy of the Cuban people and the funny we see in each situation are present in the exhibition of cartoons Yo amo a Cuba (I love Cuba), by artist Jorge Sánchez Armas, opened on Thursday at the Ventanas Cultural Promotion and Management Center.
The virtual exhibition consists of around 153 works, as the result of the intense work of this creator in several publications.
“I usually publish in Palante, but I also do it in Cubahora, Verde Olivo and Lazo Adentro magazine of the public health,” says Sánchez Armas.
Also, he referred to some of the cartoons “they have been collaborating in the Sexur center, of sexual education in Montevideo, Uruguay, in different halls such as the Melaito International Salon, in Villa Clara, in the recently finished Juan David and in one of Minas Gerais, in Brazil”.
The also journalist and engineer asserts that “offering this exhibition in the Fiesta de la Cubanía is a very high honor and commitment, here the Cuban Nationality was born and I am a product of it, I am a servant of the Cuban Nationality and to be here today, not only with this exhibition, but with two lectures and a workshop for children, I thank the Ventana Sur Center infinitely ”, stressed Jorge Sánchez Armas.
The exhibition of cartoons Yo amo a Cuba is a worthy reflection of the character of the inhabitants of this island, seen from the graphic and the sense of humor of this renowned creator. (By Liuba Mustelier Ramírez)
