The University of Medical Sciences of Granma, whose main campus is located in Manzanillo, welcomed on Monday the new students who have just enrolled in the ten specialties of higher and technical level of the center.
The opening ceremony of the introductory course for new students took place in the institution, where the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Iliana Roig Castro, and the President of the Federation of University Students (FEU), Suzanne Santiesteban, gave them warmly welcome.
The center admits more than 500 students who will study in Medicine, Stomatology, Clinical Bioanalysis, Nursing, Health Information Systems and Imaging.
This academic institution will also host this school year to 110 Middle Technicians of 12th grade and 115 of ninth grade, 48 enrolled in courses and 197 students of the compulsory attendance courses in several disciplines.
The Medical Sciences University of Granma, with main offices in Manzanillo, a faculty in Bayamo, has the objective of outlining the training of future health professionals and technicians, as well as strengthening the training of specialists and doctors in the field.
