The province of Granma stands out in the country for its work in increasing the culture of energy saving, thanks to the impact of the actions developed by the Provincial Office of Rational Energy Use and the Ministry of Education in the territory.
This was confirmed by Alberto Cuesta Laso, head of inspection of the ONURE main office, who highlighted the impact of the work they do with students of several teachings.
The executive added that the promotion work carried out by the pioneers and teachers in the communities is very feasible, because the highest consumption of the province is in the residential area and the main actions should be aimed at there.
Cuesta Laso added that, the significant participation in the contests held each year, along with the quality and impact of the works presented, prove the Granma´s people commitment to increase the culture of the rational use of energy.
These events consolidate knowledge and train values about the importance of the use of renewable energy sources and the need to work for the protection of environment, he noted.
The specialist said that although the work of the province is outstanding, it should continue systematizing in the promotion and dissemination of electricity savings in homes to achieve sustainability in the efficient use of energy.
