Granma comes at the Cuban Science Day this January 15 with an increase in the scientific impact of technology and innovation according with the projection and strategy for the economic and social development of the province.
Esther Salgueiro, head of the science, technology and innovation unit belonging to the CITMA in Granma, told Radio Bayamo that these advances are based on the integration achieved among the different components of the science system in the province.
We worked with this objective and with two indicators, monitoring the policy of science, technology and innovation entities, which in general this indicator has been successfully fulfilled to the implementation of the restructuring policy of the science entities in the territory, she added.
The executive explained that they are making progress with this issue and are working with other science entities, especially in strengthening of the doctors training and in the scientific category what the researchers should have.
The head of the science, technology and innovation unit in Granma added that 200 scientific projects are being carried out in the province, which contribute to the scientific priorities of the country and the territory.
The science plan has for example there are 40 project of food for human, it is a priority established at national level, protecting of species, 20 projects, 40 of the human resources training, 10 of diseases prevention, business efficiency 2 and 10 of local history and with modalities there are 127 technological innovation projects and 83 development research projects, she highlighted.
These projects are carrying out in universities, in science entities, and even in enterprises.
Esther Salgueiro stressed that the integration among universities, science entities and the business sector has become established, which has strengthened the provincial adviser council, as well as the scientific pole of the province with tangible results in several spheres of society.
