More than 300 young people from the province entered the pedagogical degrees this school year, to enhance the training of teachers in the territory.
A total of 391 students entered pedagogical university degrees in Granma at the the university college, an option that emerged through the need to enhance teacher training.
As one of the novelty of this academic year, this modality was designed for students who has completed the 12th grade and requested to enroll in this courses.
Abelardo Ortiz, provincial deputy director of Education, stressed that these university colleges are part of the ways to encourage entry to pedagogical degrees.
Those students have not to take the university admission exams, they enter directly to pedagogical sciences, he noted.
The opening of university colleges responds to the transformations assumed in Cuban universities and is a possibility for entering to higher education.
