The Governing Body, Transportation and other agencies of Granma implemented actions and adopted measures that allow to provide better service to the population, affected by the deficit of fuels in the public transportation of passengers.

Manuel Santiago Sobrino Martínez, President of the Provincial Assembly of the People´s Power, demanded greater commitment from the cadres in the face of significant restrictions on fuels, as result of the US blockade.

Among the objectives set out is the strengthening of the points of mass  transportation with the inspection bodies, improving the conditions of stay at the bus terminals and controlling all the transport that travel through Granma to take advantage of the capacities.

It was also indicated to increase the food offerings at affordable prices, and protect the services of water, bathroom, medical care and lodging possibilities for people who require it.

As part of the actions, an office was also created, next to the national bus station in Bayamo, to serve the population.

Leonardo Labrada, director of the Province Transportation Company, offered details on the actions taken, counted the difficulties existing in the transportation of passengers and ratified the commitment of workers and cadres of the sector to provide efficiently services to the population.
