University and middle school students, along with workers from several social and economic sectors in the eastern Cuban province of Granma, joined on Tuesday to the international campaign that demands the release of former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

Workers from the Manuel Cedeño Dental Specialties Clinic, in Bayamo, collected their signature to demand the release of Lula and as loyalty to the Fidel Castro´s legacy, and the solidarity and internationalist vocation of the Cuban people.

Imperialism and its footmen do not forgive Lula the implementation of policies against poverty and in favor to the Brazilian people, denounces the document signed by the Granma people, with which they also reject the offensive statements by President Jair Bolsonaro against Cuban doctors and medical collaboration.

Special morning and similar events took place at the Provincial Directorate of Public Health, at the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Hospital, the Revolution Square, the Francisco Vicente Aguilera Senior High School, among other labor centers of the capital of Granma.

Iraida Moreno Pérez, official of the Central of Workers Union of Cuba in the territory, told that workers and students from the municipalities of Manzanillo and Niquero also joined to the support on Tuesday.

Through, the account in Facebook, educators, journalists, young people have disclosed images and information about solidarity actions with Lula da Silva starring from the Julio Antonio Mella Pre- University and the Celia Sánchez Manduley Hospital, of Manzanillo.

As part of the solidarity support in favor of the leader of the Workers’ Party of Brazil, in Granma there are 22 committees for Lula´s Liberation, whose members carry out their own actions along with the provincial delegation of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples.
