Varied clothing and accessories, footwear, crafts, toiletries and other creations are sold in the special fair ¨Para ti Papᨠ(for you Dad), based in the ExpoGranma site, in the city of Bayamo.

Eliniellis Deliz Domínguez, director of the exhibition site, congratulated at the opening of the event, all the fathers, grandparents and uncles of the territory, on the occasion of the celebration next Sunday, June 17.

The opening of this second trade edition of ExpoGranma, was attended by Carmen González Álvarez, member of the provincial bureau of the Communist Party and Yanetsy Terry Gutiérrez, vice president of the Provincial Assembly of the People´s Power of Granma, as well as executives of local entities that participate in the expo-sale.

Karen Capdet Trinchet and Rosana Torres Montalván, self-employed workers, explained to the ACN that they offer a variety of allegorical crafts, made by hand, such as cards and posters with congratulatory phrases and thanks to the father.

Also, they sell diaries and handkerchiefs with embroidered letters, which is an old fashioned, but can be a delicate and beautiful detail, added Karen.

Another stand offers barbering and peeling services for children and adults, and will be open to the public until next Friday at 6:00 p.m., said Leticia Ortiz Mojena, of the Enterprise of Personal and Home Services in the territory.

Among its functions, the ExpoGranma fairground is integrated into the education system of the province, operating as attached classroom to the General Luis Ángel Milanese Polytechnic School, the University of Granma and other centers.

The Father´s Day is traditionally celebrated each year on the third Sunday of June.
