For the sixth year in a row, students and workers of the “Félix Varela special school”, of Bayamo, received the Marti Collective condition, granted by the National Union of Education, Science and Sports Workers.

The award ceremony took place at the end of the year act in the presence of teachers, teaching directors and families.

In this occasion also 13 students of  9th grade were graduated, nine of  them will be incorporated into the trade school and the rest will carry out the work training.

Also, the most outstanding workers during the school year that concludes and mainly those who starred in the implementation of the teaching changes received recognitions.

The Felix Varela special school, institution that welcomes more than a hundred children with learning disabilities of the province, is the only one of this teaching that in Granma applies the changes of the third improvement of education.

In this center the transformations are implemented in the study programs successfully, taking into account the base curriculum of the elementary education of the first and fourth grades.

The school also maintain deeper ties with the family and community, and with entities that interrelate with each other the Ministries of Health and Labor, which favors a comprehensive education and the incorporation of students into work and social life.

Since its founding in 1990, this center has shown its strengths in the bond and love for the teaching of its staff and the careful attention received by students who study there, where they are prepared for an useful and independent life.
