La Hacienda base business unit (UEB) delivered to date more than two thousand tons of dairy products, so as to supply markets of Granma and other Cuban territories, and maintains stable production levels of its different items.

Recognized in the country for the quality of its products, between April and May the entity underwent building and technological maintenance actions, from which on the working conditions and cleaning improved significantly.

This process favored mainly the natural yogurt line, where production increased from 30 to 50 tons monthly, a figure that they expect to continue growing, according to statements by José Ángel Oliva Prado, director of the entity.

Oliva Prado reported that the delivery levels of soy yogurt also increased, despite delays caused by the lack of raw materials and the renovation works.

The repairs, he said, allowed to enlarge departments and raise the comfort of the factory, but above all the improvement of hygienic conditions were prioritized, with the aim of favoring the production process and fulfilling the food safety requirements, he stressed.

Elio René Rodríguez Cabrera, head of the brigade of the natural yogurt line, described as very good the results of the maintenance work carried out in his area, where four tons of food are processed daily, with different packaging formats, including nylon bags and 4 liter pails.

With 22 years of experience in the entity, Rodriguez Cabrera said that these assortments supply markets throughout Granma and are also sold in other territories such as Havana, Santiago de Cuba and Matanzas.

For its part, the head of the brigade of the soy yogurt line, Reinier Jiménez González, acknowledged that the factory is very beautiful, but the technology is still obsolete, reason why they continue facing many difficulties in the production process.

Belonging to the Dairy Products Company of Bayamo, the Hacienda UEB produces several assortments such as cheese, butter, cream cheese, natural and soy yogurts.
