With a cultural gala, which included music, dance, poetry and other artistic expressions, the 505th anniversary of the founding of the San Salvador of Bayamo Village was celebrated on Sunday night.
During the show tittle “Todos los cantos posibles”, (all possible songs) held at the historic Plaza de la Revolución, singers, reciters, the concert band of the National Monument city and the Habana Compas Dance Company performed.
Pieces dedicated to the city were interpreted by the singers Maida Castañeda, Julio González, Mario Rodríguez, Andrés Araujo, Ramón Galardi, and José Alberto ¨El Ruiseñor¨.
The show, directed by Juan Cedeño Oro, went through the history of our aborigines until the most contemporary times, so with Fidel Castro ´s words dedicated to the historical elegance of Bayamo the ceremony ended
After the gala, a toast to Bayamo was held, in which the artists and the public toasted for the birthday of a city that proud of its history renews its charms.
