Bruno Rodriguez, Minister of Foreign Affairs, denounced on Twitter that U.S. President Donald Trump offends the sovereignty of #Venezuela, birthplace of El Libertador and independence.
Trump incorporates McCarthyism into the Monroe Doctrine. He confirms that against #Venezuela “all options are possible. The #U.S. coup didn’t work; the danger of military aggression is real. The history of #OurAmerica proves it, warns the Cuban top diplomat.
Trump lies and offends #Cuba, #Venezuela, all peoples and their own citizens. We will respond by voting YES on February 24. Why doesn’t Trump organize a national referendum on his policies? | #CubaVoteYes #YoVotoYes #WeVoteYes,” Rodriguez said referring to Trump’s speech Monday at Florida International University.
He called on all governments, parliaments, political forces, popular movements, social movements, indigenous peoples, national and international organizations and NGOs to publicly express a stance against the use of U.S. military force in South America.
In his speech today in Florida, the U.S. president acknowledged that he seeks to put an end to socialism in the world, especially in Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua, and once again called on the Bolivarian National Armed Force to let humanitarian aid pass and ignore the orders of President Nicolás Maduro, according to Prensa Latina.
