The Carlos Manuel de Céspedes birth house museum will soon arrive at the 50th anniversary of its foundation, as the first institution of its kind in Granma. The workers prepare a wide program to celebrate the anniversary on September 30.
Ana Regla Mola Rodríguez musicologist and curator explained that the museum has a project of activities not only for the 50 years of the institution, but also from Bayamo to The Demajagua, also including the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the libertarian wars.
We have planned three activities on the days 28, 29 and 30 of September, one dedicated to Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, a tribute to personalities who have worked in the house and an artistic evening, she added.
The commemoration project will run until the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Father of the Nation, which includes a change in the second floor, new halls will be opened and the restoration of the yard for the realization of activities.
We also expect to open a navigation room where visitors can use the encyclopedia, virtual tours and all the rich documentation treasured in the museum, she noted.
