The 1st Provincial Workshop on Computerization of the Society opens this Wednesday at the ExpoGranma fairground in Bayamo.
Different local companies participate in the event, which show information and communication technologies (ICT), computerization works and services carried out and provided by them.
Among the companies attending are those of Telecommunication Company of Cuba S.A. (Etecsa), of Computer Applications (Desoft), Trading of integral technological solutions Enterprise, Goods and Services (Copextel); of Technologies for Defense.
The University of Granma, the Ministry of Agriculture; Transport; of Science, Technology and Environment; Correos de Cuba, Banco Popular de Ahorro; Public Health, Justice, Radio Bayamo and the Ministry of Interior also are participating.
The event program includes computer conferences, contests related to mobile applications and free internet service through Wi-Fi wireless connection.
The Workshop is sponsored by the Union of Computer Specialists of Cuba (UIC), Etecsa and the Government, in Granma.
The population can enjoy all the services that are offered there and visualize the progress of the computerization of the society in Granma.
