Alexander Abreu and his band Havana D’Primera will offer a concert in Bayamo tonight, as part of a tour of Cuba after competing as nominees in the 2018 Grammy Awards.

The concert known as ¨Cantor del Pueblo¨, making reference to the CD that was included in the select list of candidates for the Latin Grammy award, besides it obtained the 2018 Cubadisco Award, will take place on Felino Figueredo Avenue, next to the Plaza de la Patria.

Sponsored by the Abdala label on the occasion of its 20th  anniversary, the presentations will be extended until next February 12 and will include, in Granma, the city of Manzanillo, as well as other cities in Ciego de Avila, Camaguey and finally Villa Clara where the tour will end.

Authorities of the musical production company explained that this artistic tour is aiming to contribute to the Cubans turning massively to vote on February 24 in the referendum that will approve the new Constitution of the country.

The new CD of the renowned trumpet player was licensed by Páfata Production for the Unicornio, label of Abdala recod company and has 10 songs of dance music, mastered in the United States.

About the name of the plaque, Abreu affirmed that it is a frame of mind, a sense of belonging to the Cuban people,  that has given him so much affection and has followed him in these 10 years of career with his orchestra.
