With the granting of recognitions to workers with a broad trajectory in the media, the 41st edition of the Provincial Radio Festival began today in Bayamo.

At the ceremony held at the Hall of Awards of the Plaza de la Patria, the journalist Manuel Lauredo Román, 60 years working, of them 30 linked to the radio with outstanding work as a press reporter.

Also, the Patria Award granted by the José Martí Cultural Society was presented to journalist David Rodríguez Rodríguez, due to the promotion of the thinking, life and work of our National Hero.

On this occasion, Eugenio Pérez Almarales, editor of La Demajagua newspaper and correspondent of the Radio Progreso National Radio Station, received the recognition to Journalistic merit conferred by the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television.

During the opening ceremony also was awarded with the Artist of Merit distinction for her outstanding work, and more than 25 years in the media, the program director Idania Guerra Millán.

From this Monday the jury began to listening the works in competition, representative of the best of the six radio stations of the territory.

As part of the event on Tuesday 18, the theoretical program with broad proposals will start at the Ventana Sur Cultural Communication Center.

On this occasion the panel Public of Proximity, texts and contexts are planned in charge of DraC Alisa Natividad Delgado Tornés, the DrC Juan Clímaco Ramírez, MsC Alcides García Carrazana and the MsC Dilcia Bárzaga Álvarez.

Likewise, digital Bulletin of Radio Bayamo will be presented as one of the tools of internal communication by Mr. Luis Rodolfo Zamora.

During this event aimed at enhancing the artistic creation and bringing knowledge to the radio producers in Granma, the participants also will visit places of economic and social interest, exchange experiences and enjoy cultural proposals.
